ServiceNow Store

Helpdesk

ServiceNow, Inc. · Service & helpdesk platforms

Best for: Enterprise ISVs building deeply-integrated ITSM/workflow apps for large ServiceNow customers.

Overview

ServiceNow Store distributes apps built with ServiceNow's App Engine, spanning ITSM extensions, custom workflow apps, and integrations with third-party ITOM/security tools. Certified apps go through the ServiceNow Technology Partner Program and a formal security review before publishing.

How to build & ship

  1. 1Join the ServiceNow Technology/Build Partner Program to get a vendor (build) instance for commercial publishing
  2. 2Build a scoped application on the vendor instance using App Engine Studio or Studio, keeping all tables, scripts, and UI in your own application scope
  3. 3Add integrations and UI (UI Builder / Service Portal widgets) and configure OAuth or API auth for outbound connections
  4. 4Test the app, then create the Store listing (pricing, marketing collateral) in the Store Publisher Portal
  5. 5Upload the app from the vendor instance and request certification, then publish once ServiceNow certifies it
